The Microshift "Acolyte" MTB Rear Derailleur belongs to the Acolyte 1x8 drivetrain, Microshift's wide range group for kids and entry-level MTBs. Both versions have the Ver.2 medium cage with better chain wrap and direct cable routing for clean shifting, and fit 8-speed cassettes with 12-42 or 12-46 teeth. The SpringLock version adds a clutch: turn the engagement bolt clockwise until it clicks and the spring keeps the chain in place on rough ground. For wheel removal it is released with a switch. The version without clutch is meant for calmer riding and commuter bikes. Fits Acolyte shifters only.
