You pick the compound as an option: organic is the SwissStop Disc C, a Kevlar, ceramic, brass and resin composite on a steel backplate that bites hard with little hand force, stays quiet in the wet and the dry and lasts well; E-Bike is the Disc E, an organic compound on a steel backplate made for high mileage, easy modulation and consistent power at high temperatures; Race is the Disc RS, the quietest compound the manufacturer makes and the one with the strongest initial bite, on a steel backplate only 1.6 mm thick with more friction material to make up for it; organic with cooling fins is the EXOTherm2, a very durable organic compound on an aluminium backplate with cooling fins that keeps fade to a minimum on long descents.
