The Shimano "PD-ED500 SPD" BMX Race Pedals are light clipless pedals with a platform that Shimano built for touring on lightweight road bikes. The Light Action SPD system makes frequent clipping in and out easy, you clip in on both sides, and entry and release tension are adjustable.
The chromoly spindle with 9/16" thread runs on a low maintenance sealed bearing cartridge, the body is anodized aluminum. A pair with SM-SH56 multi release cleats is included. According to Shimano the CT and RT shoes are made to match.
