The Insight BMX Race Chain Tensioners keep a rear wheel with a 10mm or 6mm axle in place in classic open dropouts, so it is not pulled forward under hard acceleration and the chain stays on. Insight designed them for today's longer dropouts, so the rear wheel can be set in any position.
The tensioners are forged from 6061-T6 aluminium. Each one has two axle holes, and tension is set with a single screw and lock nut for a precise chain tension. Sold as a pair.
